Netgear R7000 after Kong : DDWRT - reddit (Sorry about text wall, didn’t think it would end up this long!) Could be worse: I have an R8000 (not R8000p) and every FW beyond DD-WRT v3.0-r40270M kongac (07/11/19) completely fucks up both 5GHz radios. wl0 & wl2 try to broadcast using the same channels and wl0, normally the strongest radio nets me a whopping -98db when I place my phone directly on the router. DD-WRT being billed as having “enterprise features”, I thought I could take advantage of that. But in my estimate that is not quite true. Having used DD-WRT for half a year, my experience is not that it gives more control. If I'm not mistaken Brainslayer is the only one working on the Marvell units now, as Kong bailed some time ago.
